Ryan is an award winning screenwriter, TV writer and playwright. ‘Studio Nowhere’, a half hour comedy series that he created, was optioned by 24 FPS Pictures which led Ryan to sign with his first agent.

More recently he sold a one hour drama entitled ‘The Four Mothers’ to Hirsch Pictures. The pilot is shot and currently the package for the series is being shopped. Film director Kate Bohan recently hired Ryan to write a feature film entitled ‘Panorama’.

His screenplay ‘Carnegie’s Call’ just won Best Screenwriter at the 2024 Paramount Film Festival.  Ryan’s one hour drama script ‘Gallatin’ just won Best Pilot Script at the 2024 Atlanta Film Festival.

Ryan is also a playwright. His play ‘Cairo’ was picked for two reading series as well in early 2023, including the NEXT! Reading Series in Cooperstown, New York. His plays have been produced across the country, including New York, New Jersey, Michigan and Oregon.
